The former Johann Strauss Foundation Scholarships continue to be available but are now administered by the Wirth Institute of the University of Alberta as the “Johann Strauss Foundation Music Awards for Advanced Study of Music in Austria”

Since 1975 the Johann Strauss Foundation has provided scholarships, grants and awards totalling about $ 830,000.00 to 129 individuals as well as groups such as NUOVA and the University of Alberta Academy String Orchestra.
